Send In The Clowns is a record of colourful sparks in which the wonderfully rich voice of Stefania Rava is accompanied by a host of incredible musicians including Roberto Rossi, Guido Pistocchi and Claudio Filippini. The album is trademarked by the swing and agility of Rava's vocals (a great example of this can be heard in 'Send In The Clowns') but there are also other more touching moments when hearing the vocal jazz of 'Speak Low' or 'When Sunny Get's Blue' allow you to enjoy the interpretive talents of Stefania Rava in other contexts also. With Guido Pistocchi organising a perfect ensemble of musicians the result is one of the best musical productions to be heard so far from label head and artistic producer Paolo Scotti. The final result is truly a beautiful piece of work. An intriguing piece of listening, delicate and brilliantly executed and interpreted.
